Y-Love, Jake Break and dj handler, now a worldwide phenomenon with their Brooklyn and Hasidic based hip-hop, invite their two favorite groups (Shem’s Disciples and Yuri Lane) to share the stage with them at a special NYC summer performance at Joe’s Pub. Shem’s Disciples is the brainchild of percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger Marlon Sobol. Accompanied by his brother, Aaron, who is a clarinetist and hip-hop lyricist, the Sobol brothers have assembled a sizzling band and created a fusion of sound and culture that is something very special. They comfortably blend Jewish spiritualism with roots reggae, flavored with raw live hip-hop.
